Project Beauty Share is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency that provides personal hygiene, cosmetics, and beauty products to non-profit organizations that serving women, children, and families overcoming abuse, addiction, homelessness, and poverty to help restore hope and dignity in their lives.
Since our inception, Project Beauty Share has grown rapidly. Julie Farley our Founder and ED created Project Beauty Share® to help women, children, and families who struggle to achieve and maintain dignity and stability in their lives. This struggle can be due to a wide variety of life events from abuse, to drug addiction, poverty, COVID-19, to homelessness. Regardless of the cause, Project Beauty Share strives to assist women, children, and families who are underserved, at-risk, and in poverty. We believe that everyone has a right to be clean, safe, and cared for by receiving these products. We hope to inspire everyone we serve to be stronger about who they are and what they can do, and to help them be successful as they build a new and better life for themselves and their families.
Project Beauty Share is not a direct service organization; however, we partner with over 120 social service agencies in the Pacific Northwest and beyond to distribute beauty products, toiletries, new and gently used cosmetics, and oral hygiene products. With our partner agencies, we provide these vital products to more than 50,000 women, children, and families annually, and we are growing each year.
In 2020 Project Beauty Share will have distributed 80,000 pounds of donated products, keeping them out of landfills, and back into the community and people who need the donations. 80,000 pounds translates to approximately 3.7 million dollars. Project Beauty Share has an all-female staff and a dedicated volunteer crew of 20 people. Every product and donation is sorted, cleaned, sanitized, and distributed daily to agencies that serve our communities.
Project Beauty Share additionally serves as a national networking organization, by being a connector for social service agencies with national beauty brands such as cosmetic, hygiene, and hair care companies throughout the US. We are able to facilitate direct deliveries and drop shipments of much-needed products on a larger scale. By acting as a connector, we are able to grow our movement to help restore hope and dignity to people in need throughout the US.
